Punch Needle
Punch needle is a type of embroidery that's similar to rug hooking. Instead of stitching through the fabric, one uses a punchneedle tool to push thread (or yarn) into the fabric, while keeping the needle on the surface. This makes punch needle easy to learn and most projects are quick and easy to work on and complete. The finished work is highly textured design made of loops that has depth and visual dimension. Please note that most punch needle kits do not include a hoop or punch needle tool - those are needed in order to work on any punchneedle project.
