This is a new and unopened complete COUNTED crosstitch kit of a design entitled "Santa." This is part of the "Winter Series" set by award winning artist Jim Shore and Mill Hill. It's a portrait of everyone’s favorite Christmas icon, Santa. Described so long ago in these in these magic words, "he was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot, His eyes--how they twinkled! his dimples how merry! His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry! His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, and the beard of his chin was as white as the snow; The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth, and the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath; He had a broad face and a little round belly, That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly. He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf!" The included Mill Hill glass beads add elegance and dimension to the picture. Both Santa and the border are embellished with colorful rosemaling patterns, inspired by the artistic traditions of the Pennsylvania Dutch. Great for any fan of Jim Shore's unique style and especially for anyone who loves his whimsical Christmas portraits!

Assembled in the United States with parts from the Denmark, UK, France and Japan. The finished design size is 5" x 5" (12.7 x 12.7 cm.) If framing then the manufacturer recommends using a Mill Hill #GBFRM9 Holiday Red Wooden 8" x 8" Frame (with a front opening of 5.5" x 5.5") -- Frame is NOT included.
