This is a new and unopened complete COUNTED crosstitch kit entitled "Chicago, Winter at the Water Tower." This is a classic design by the renowned and respected artist, Thomas Kinkade. It features the historic Water Tower during a Chicago winter's evening. In front of the building is the famed Michigan Avenue (Magnificent Mile.) The busy street and sidewalk is filled with people that are bundled in their winter jackets. Many of them have umbrellas to protect them from the wintery mix of rain and snow that's falling from the cloudy sky above. In front of the tower is a horse and buggy that invokes memories of yesteryear. The tower was built in 1869 and was one of the few buildings to survive the great Chicago fire of 1871. The tower was named an American Water Landmark in 1969 and is the second oldest water tower in the United States. The building now serves as a Chicago Office of Tourism art gallery. The is the perfect design for anyone who loves the works of Thomas Kinkade, Chicago or historic buildings.
